Mayrhofen 7 Day Camp

7 RIDERS

£849 or £599 Guiding only

2025 dates to be announced. Email to be placed on a reserve list.

A freeride focused powder hunters camp. It's time to step beyond just shredding the piste and those lucky pockets of powder you've spotted from the lift or following random tracks of other riders.

You'll be exploring a series of local resorts taking in high alpine peaks to steep and deep tree runs as we chase the best snow away from the crowds.

In addition, in between all the fun we'll be boosting your off-piste riding, and avalanche safety skills with tailored drills and exercises to fill in the blanks within your riding and knowledge.

To enable to crew to easily access additional freeride areas all participants should have their own or hired for the start of the course some suitable avalanche equipment, a pair of snow shoes or more ideally a splitboard. We can advise and help with this process. At the time of paying your deposit, please contact us to discuss what equipment you may require for the course.

We have provided detailed rider ability guidelines for this course. These guidelines help you make a more informed choice as to whether this course is suitable for you.

This course includes:
7 Nights B&B accommodation in The Larcherhof
5 Days with an off-piste certified guide

Apartments are typically shared between two people with the option of twin or double arrangements, however, we do try to arrange a single room, depending on how busy the hotel is. If you would like to guarantee a single room, we suggest booking your own accommodation within Mayrhofen or Hollenzen (just outside Mayrhofen). If you're allocated a single room a small additional charge of £90 will be added to your course fees

If you have any questions about this course, please review our travel guide, explanation of the course levels, kit list's or FAQ's and then feel free to drop us a line.

What the riders think...

"I rate the winter camp super highly. It's taken me from dipping my toe into off piste to being confident in it across different conditions. Mayrhofen is a great location as well with lots of different mountains to explore with hidden powder stashes. Having a top tier guide and coach helps find those stashes and connect them together - whilst you are getting your skills up. The hotel is fab and meals out after an awesome day in the mountains are great too."

"Hands down the best snowboarding trips are with Maverix! I have been going on the Powder hunters trips in Austria since 2017 and always have the most amazing adventures. James is a first class coach and guide, he knows all of the best spots for fresh powder on the mountains and also all of the best local food. We want for nothing when we are with him. The only downside to the trip is when it's over. But that's when you can book the next one and count down the days until you're shredding again."

"J made us work hard, but with that came great reward. I've hit a bit of side-piste before but being lead by J, we spent a good amount of time out of sight of groomed runs but within the resort boundaries, hitting the untracked pow fields that Mayrhofen has to offer. I felt my off-piste confidence grow exponentially."

Please make sure you read and understand the riding levels required for this course, as those riders who do not meet the required standards may be unable to complete their course and will not be offered a refund. Our Austrian adventures are not recommended for under 18's.
