UK Freestyle Day Courses
The first of it’s kind in the UK, the Maverix day course is the perfect development ground for aspiring freestylers as well as the best possible introduction for those looking to take their first steps into the scarey land of jumps and rails.
Maverix provides you with a great support network. We have our own park team, who build and maintain all features, with the best equipment supplied by Snow Park Technologies in the states, i.e. not a shovel in sight. Our own in-house photographer for selected events to capture those key moves, and crucially the best qualifified coaches in the UK who will be providing you with constant feedback and videoing your every move for future analysis.
Plus you’ll have access to the latest test equipment from Salomon and a bucket load of free gifts for every attendee. What more could you want?
Our courses run monthly on either a Friday or Saturday depending on the location. Currently these are taking place at Hemel Snow Centre , Milton Keynes Sno!Zone, Braehead Sno!Zone and Castleford Sno!Zone.
The course is open to all ages and abilities. We aim to split attendees into two groups (max 8 per group) depending on ability. The groups alternate between kickers and rails during the day. The coaching focus is towards safe progression, through trial by choice. You do as little or a much as you want. You inform your coach of your aims for the day and he or she will look to develop your riding skills to achieve your freestyle aims.
Maverix is not about throwing you in at the deep end. It’s about being safe and having as much fun as possible.
The day course begins at 9.00am with a short briefing, orietation and safety video before heading out to warm up and hit the slopes from 10.00am. On hill activities will finish around 4.00pm, followed by a de-brief and additional video analysis.
