Landgraaf is arguably one of the best indoor slopes in Europe. It provides a complete package that cannot be beaten. You'll be staying on site in a wonderful 4 star hotel. Its so easy to relax and recharge when you have a comfortable room just a couple of minutes away. We chose a catered food option that allows you to eat and drink all you want. You just have to buy your beers. In essence you can go to Landgraaf without a penny in your pocket as all the essentials are covered.

In terms of the slope it cannot be bettered. That's why it's chosen as a training facility for many international ski and snowboard teams. There are two main pistes 2.5x longer than anything in the UK. Plus they're at a pitch which is ideal for snowboarders. Nice and mellow allowing for a great fast blast or a slow flatland fun session. Each slope also has a poma and a 6 man chairlift allowing for some much needed recovery time.

The principle reason we love Landgraaf so much is the snow park. It's nessedled between the two main pistes and it permanent. It is often netted off and serviced by its own poma. The park is around the size of a main piste in the UK. It contains a vast arrange of kickers, rails and boxes. Although beginners can hit some of the features in the park, it would be a great playground for someone looking to progress their kicker skills and raise their confidence on basic side hits and boxes.

The slope is open 9am - 11pm so there is plenty of opportunities to ride. Plus with there being so many riding opportunities it never compares to the UK slopes in terms of how busy it gets. Also it is only a few hours away from Calais, so its super easy to get to. Thats why it's our ideal bookend to our winter.

Two 520m slopes

Their two main slopes are more than double the length of anything in the UK. At 520m a piste this enables a better chance of applying and developing core performance and freestyle flatland skills. To put it in perspective each of their slopes is nearly 3.5 times the length of Hemel Snow Centre. Six man chairlift When your riding for a few hours the traditional poma can get a little taxing on the legs. This can effect the length of time at which you can maintain a high energy level for developing new movement patterns. At Landgraaf we have the chance to relax on the chairlift whilst discussing tactics and provide you with additional feedback rather than wasting time before each run.

Permanent Freestyle Park

The key benefit of riding in a snow centre is the number of repetitions possible when trying new freestyle moves. The issue we have in the UK is that the parks are only out for one or two days. Imagine an indoor freestyle park that is permanent and shaped everyday with features for all levels, including some of the largest kickers in any snow centre. In addition most recreational users stick to the main piste and very few riders session the park. You end up with a park to session on your own with your buddies.

4 star accommodation

No snow centre in the UK can provide the off slope facilities of Landgraaf. Once the riding is complete you can relax in your luxury room with a choice of 3 different sleeping options and eat as much or as little at your want from the hearty range of meals. There are also numerous bars for a quick pint to round off the day as well as having access to the spa and fitness suite.

Unlimited ski pass

Landgraaf is open 9am to 11pm. For the duration of your stay your ski pass will be valid for on slope use. That enables you to have lots of time to shred. We ride for the first afternoon before dinner on arrival. The next day is a morning, afternoon and evening shred mixed between breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then the final day is a morning shred before lunch and a packup and head home.

Only 3 hours from Calais

In the time it takes to go from London to Machester you can be on the slopes shredding. There is no point providing a great snowboard package if it is miles away from the UK. With this in mind Langraaf is ideally placed for access from the UK. Our aim is to provide a shared transfer service from Hemel Snow Centre for a minimal cost as some of the other attendees choose to drive and help out.
